Privacy Policy
Cook is an offline-first recipe app. This policy explains what data the app processes when you use recipe search, cloud sync, sign-in, and optional AI recommendations.
Information We Process
- Recipe preferences, selected ingredients, saved items, and app settings.
- Account information if you choose to sign in, such as your email address, profile name, provider user ID, and authentication tokens.
- AI recommendation inputs you submit, such as selected ingredients, cookware, local candidate recipes, and optional health goals.
How We Use Information
- To provide recipe search, dataset updates, and account sign-in.
- To generate optional AI recipe recommendations.
- To prevent abuse, secure the service, and keep usage within quotas.
Third-Party Services
Cook uses Cloudflare Workers and Workers AI to serve app APIs and run optional AI features. If you sign in with Google, Google processes the sign-in flow according to Google's own privacy policy. Cook requests only basic profile and email scopes for authentication.
Local Storage and Retention
Some preferences and app data are stored locally on your device. Account and quota records may be stored on Cook's backend for as long as needed to operate the account. You can clear local data by deleting the app or clearing app storage.
Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with service providers needed to operate Cook, such as Cloudflare and sign-in providers you choose to use.
